Admit it. We all get annoyed when we’re watching a program and suddenly, there’s a special report for weather coverage. Now depending on how severe the alert is, the cut-in can last seconds or several minutes. On Sunday, KSFY meteorologist Shawn Cable broke into the season finale of Once Upon a Time to inform viewers on tornadoes that were impacting the local area.

Despite performing a public service to viewers, KSFY’s newsroom was inundated with complaints.

So the following day on the KSFY Morning News, anchor Nancy Naeve took the opportunity to lash out at the complaints and let the viewers have it.

“I’ll tell you what. Quit calling and ripping Shawn for being on the air to save people’s lives … No show is as important as someone’s life. You aren’t going to on the air if it’s not important. (Cable: “Absolutely..”) And people just berated our station for him being on the air, but I’ll tell you what (now pointing a finger at the camera) if it was your home and your neighbors, you would feel differently. So please. Please don’t do that. That’s not nice.”

And Naeve then suggested viewers go to ABC.com to see their shows. She was quite angry.

So the lesson is never call the KSFY newsroom especially when Nancy Naeve is on the next shift.
