SEC Network has announced that they have added two new faces college football fans may be familiar with to round out their studio roster. Former Auburn football coach Gene Chizik and former Georgia QB David Greene have been hired with the hope that both men will be able to offer insight and analysis from their own unique experiences in college football.

As for their specific rolls, Chizik will serve as a studio analyst on Mondays and Tuesdays while Greene will work on the Film Room, a program which will air on Wednesday nights.

Chizik is a fantastic addition and should have plenty to offer. He coached with both Iowa State and Auburn, enjoying some truly special seasons with the latter. In 2010, Chizik’s squad at Auburn won the SEC Championship as well as the National Championship. He was later removed after a dreadful season in 2012 and he now shifts his attention to television.

Greene led Georgia to the SEC Championship in 2002 and also maintained an impressive streak of 52 consecutive games started between 2001 and 2004.

It’ll be interesting to see how the two carry themselves in a regular television role, but on paper it looks like SEC Network made two more strong acquisitions.
