If you’re sick of the song Royals by Lorde, and you live in San Francisco, then today is your lucky day! At least two radio stations in the Bay Area have decided to remove that song from their rotation until after the World Series, where the San Francisco Giants will take on the Kansas City Royals.

As you probably know, the song Royals is actually relevant to the baseball team and we have George Brett to thank for a New Zealand teenager becoming a worldwide star. According to KMBC, both KFOG Radio and 96.5 KOIT are banning the song throughout the World Series.

Of course we all know how this is going to end – if the Giants win, then this will be part of the reason. But, if the Royals win, what will have been the point of this whole thing? Oh – at least sparing those in the Bay Area from having to listen to the song regardless! Win-win!
