In total viewership for its entire week in Total Day (6 a.m. to 5:59 a.m.), MLB Network is up 19 percent (99,000 vs. 83,000) from one week earlier and up 41 percent (99,000 vs. 70,000) from the same week one year ago (September 23-29, 2013).

Derek Jeter’s memorable final Yankee Stadium game vs. Baltimore on Sep. 25 was the all-time most-watched regular-season game, to-date, for each the YES Network and MLB Network. According to Forbes.com’s Maury Brown, the MLB Network telecast (blacked out in New York and Baltimore markets) peaked with 1.6 million viewers from 10:15-10:30pm ET (3.59 million viewers, when combined with YES’ audience within that same quarter-hour). It was MLB Network’s best-ever regular-season prime time viewership for a single evening, with 870,000 viewers. Bob Costas, Jim Kaat and Tom Verducci were MLB Network’s voices for the game.

TBS’s non-exclusive MLB telecast of N.Y. Yankees @ Boston (Derek Jeter’s final game) on Sep. 28 (1:30-5:03 p.m.) drew 374,000 viewers.
