Did you know that former Green Bay, St. Louis and Dallas linebacker Brady Poppinga is fluent in Spanish? Of course you didn't. But the people at Fox Sports knew. He's so fluent that he will be on Fox Deportes as the color analyst for the Super Bowl.
While he was at Brigham Young University, Poppinga went on a two year Mormon mission to Uruguay and picked up Spanish.
During a Tuesday visit to the Denver Post Press Box Live online talk show on Super Bowl Radio Row in New York, Poppinga gave an example of how he would call a Broncos win in Spanish to Woody Page and Peter Burns. It sounds quite impressive to the uneducated ear.
Just hearing Paige trying to give a reply in Spanish is worth the look at the video alone.
