NESN viewers will no longer see on-field Jenny Dell on Boston Red Sox games. After a picture during the holidays showing her and team third baseman Will Middlebrooks as officially an item, calls were made to have her removed from NESN's Red Sox broadcasts.
NESN made it offiical on Thursday to the Boston Globe's Chad Finn that Dell has been given other duties within the network and that she was recently informed that she would be removed from the games.

A request for a comment from Dell went unanswered. A NESN spokesman confirmed to Awful Announcing that a national search is ongoing for a replacement. Dell did appear on the network on Thursday co-anchoring its nightly "NESN Sports Today" highlights show.
There were reports that Fox Sports 1 was interested in Dell, but there have not been any recent developments on that front. In the interim, she will report for NESN on other New England teams and appear on its studio programs. It's probably for the best.
