NBA on TNT sideline reporter Craig Sager is beginning treatment for acute myeloid leukemia. The absence of the longtime colorful reporter was certainly felt on the first weekend of the NBA Playoffs, but everyone involved in the game of basketball paid tribute to him.
Spurs coach Gregg Popovich opened up during an interview with Craig Sager Jr. and offered his get well wishes as did other coaches throughout the weekend.
Announcers and analysts also channeled their inner Sager by donning his trademark colorful outfits for the opening weekend of the playoffs.
