During Saturday’s Cubs-Padres game, which hadn’t reached the depressing stage yet in the second inning, Cubs pitcher struck out Padres second baseman Jedd Gyorko to end the second inning. WGN broadcaster Len Kasper had the perfect call for the punchout.

You see, Gyorko’s name isn’t pronounced how it’s spelled – it’s pronounced “jerk-oh”. Needless to say, Kasper’s “jerk store” reference was completely on the mark, and something that poor Jedd has probably been hearing his entire life.

No word yet on whether or not Kasper is their best-seller, though.
