In an epic shootout for the ages, US Men's Hockey took down Russia after 2OT's, eight rounds of shootouts and a hero named T.J .Oshie. But, if you happened to be listening to the game on KNBR-AM in the Bay Area, you wouldn't know that, because they cut off the game to go to a golf show. Seriously. The reaction, as you can imagine, was not good.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME, @KNBR?!? Cutting off Russia/USA Olympic hockey in OVERTIME for Hooked on Golf?!? @LOLKNBRCallers

Nice move #knbr. Don't advertise hockey if you are going to interupt for golf snobs. Time to find a new station. Have a clue!

But even worse was the station's response:
For a game as important as that one in an event that only happens every four years, you'd think the station could have pushed back a talk show about golf. KNBR, unfortunately, does not share our logic. That episode of Hooked on Golf must have been really, really important.
