Here’s a bizarre moment from before TNT’s coverage of Clippers-Warriors Game 6 in Oakland.  While doing an on-camera shot at the broadcast table, Kevin Harlan and Reggie Miller suddenly go into a brief panic.

An Australian follower sent this clip to us from watching the broadcast overseas on the international league pass.  This is where my Aussie Rules football tweets really pay off, you see.

It seems as though the national anthem was about ready to play while the announcers were on the air (somewhere) or taping a segment. (Correction: The footage comes from a rehearsal well before the game not meant for air that went out on a raw feed.) Miller starts pointing up at the sky and then Harlan interrupts him to say, “I’m going to salute the country if you don’t mind.”

It’s unclear who Harlan is talking to, but it then sounds like he’s reprimanding someone for eating during the anthem (???) and says, “get some couth, for God’s sake” as the broadcast cuts to the Winning Ingredients sponsored by McDonald’s.

Kevin Harlan: great announcer, great American.

UPDATE: The video in question came from a raw feed that went out and is from a rehearsal well before the game. It was not part of any over-the-air broadcast or taped segment and appears to have accidentally aired to viewers overseas.
