It’s been eight years since Keith Jackson retired from calling college football on ABC. Since then, he’s made a few appearances on television, but overall, he’s been enjoying his retirement.

This week, Jackson was honored with a building dedicated in his name on the Washington State campus in Pullman. Keith M. Jackson Hall was unveiled Friday with the college football voice on hand.

Jackson was there to witness the dedication and was genuinely touched by the honor.

Jackson was with ABC Sports spanning 40 years and while he was best known for calling college football, he also was the original play-by-play man on Monday Night Football in 1970. Jackson also called boxing, Monday Night Baseball including the 1977, 1979, 1981 and 1983 World Series, the NBA and the Superstars.

Jackson’s legacy in broadcasting is firmly cemented and it will be carried even further with Keith M. Jackson Hall on the Washington State campus.
