One of my favorite segments in sports is Fritzy’s Mock Headlines on The Dan Patrick Show. The headlines are usually always funny, whether they be clever puns or burning couch fires. Sometimes, callers get in on the action too and this morning after UConn beat Kentucky to win their fourth national title, a surprise guest delivered the best mock headline for the occasion.
Loyal DP listener and star of The Big Bang Theory Jim Parsons had a walk-off with his mock headline: “Shabazzinga.”
Those are way better than the headlines Darren Rovell got on Twitter. Now I’m just upset I didn’t think of it first. Can you imagine the crossover possibilities between Shabazz Napier and Sheldon Cooper? I smell a made-for-TV sweeps week event.
