Back in August, our Ben Koo told you that gossip giant TMZ was planning on bringing back the TMZ Sports brand and making the whole concept operational. All this after trying once before and deciding to kill it in 2011.

Now it appears that TMZ Sports is up with a page on the TMZ website and now, a new show that's been airing in seven markets on several Fox-owned stations. TMZ Sports is airing weekdays in markets including Atlanta, Boston, Los Angeles and Washington, DC.

If the show is successful, expect a cross-country rollout later this year. We don't have ratings information on the show as of yet, but expect to see heavy promotion for TMZ Sports down the line.

For good measure, we have a promo that is done in the familiar TMZ style:

We'll see if this takes off or fizzles like the first effort to bring TMZ Sports to fruition.
