Former Rutgers football player Eric LeGrand has been staying close to he game he loves. And as he remains an inspiration as he continues to deal with a paralyzing spinal cord injury, LeGrand is living life and creating career opportunities.

His latest move is joining SiriusXM Radio as a co-host on the satellite radio provider’s College Sports Nation channel. LeGrand joins host Chris Childers for College Sports Coast to Coast every Monday night. The show began this week.

If you’re not aware, LeGrand was a defensive star at Rutgers when six games into junior year, he was paralyzed from the neck down. He was originally told that he would not be able to breathe without a ventilator, but five weeks after his injury, LeGrand was able to shuck the ventilator, regain the movement of his arms and sensations in and continues to dedicate himself to recover.

Over the past few years, LeGrand has made various media appearances on the NFL Today, the SEC on CBS and other outlets. He also has worked on the Rutgers Radio Network.

Earlier this year, LeGrand joined the Big Ten Network as a studio analyst and went to the Super Bowl thanks to Gil Brandt of SiriusXM NFL Radio.

Good for LeGrand to continue his media career.
