Jason “Mayhem” Miller has had an accomplished career in the MMA world. Over 37 career fights, Miller is 28-9. He’s fought in Japan, the UFC, Strikeforce, and WEC. He was the star of an MTV show called Bully Beatdown. But in recent years, he’s fallen on hard times. The UFC released him in 2012 after he went 0-2 during his second stint with the promotion.
Months later, he was arrested on suspicion of burglary after falling asleep in a church. He lost his mind on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani. He was arrested on domestic violence charges. Miller is back in the news again after a quiet year, and was arrested on Thursday following a standoff with police that he live tweeted.
Police showed up at Miller’s house in Mission Viejo, Orange County to arrest him on those aforementioned domestic violence charges. He refused to come out, and things got difficult for the police.
i need to tell everyone about the absolute waste of resources going on outside of my house right now. i am counting no less than 5 officers.

ALL THIS because I wanted to help raise a young boy into a man, and his mama wenr off her meds, and an ambitious DA thinks mayhem is BAD.

I WISH YOU NO HARM. I respect the Police, but this is overkill, for something that would be settled with one piece of paperwork from OCBAIL

I did nothing wrong. This is the state of American Justice. I feel you black men. They fear, so they threaten to take our lives. Abhorrent.

The Orange County PD was also tweeting about the incident, though not nearly as much as Miller was.

It’s not my place to make judgments about Jason Miller or the police. But these cops are just trying to do their job – escalating the situation isn’t going to help anyone. If Miller really did run inside of his house to barricade himself in when the officers tried to serve him with the warrant, as the press release in the final tweet states, he has no one to blame for this situation but himself.
