Gluttony is once again making its way to ESPN, and we couldn’t be any happier. ESPN3 will broadcast the National Buffalo Wing Eating Championship on August 31st at 5 PM, live from Buffalo, NY.
Naturally, Joey Chestnut will be competing in the contest, looking to follow up on his amazing, rain-soaked victory in the Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest on the 4th of July. Seventh-ranked Adrian Morgan, top-ranked female eater Miki Sudo, and former wing eating champion Sonya Thomas will also be in the field.
There’s also a fantastic commercial promoting the Buffalo Wing Eating Festival, which the Wing Eating Championship is the highlight of.
All we need is more George Shea, and this will be a winner. I’m sure this is going to be a fantastic lead-in for Sunday Night Baseball – watch people stuff their faces, then watch the National Pastime. You can’t lose!
