The Chicago Cubs are in the midst of a rebuilding period, and as a result, they’ve loaded up their farm system with lots of young and exciting talent. Some Cubs fans are excited about the future…in fact, a little *too* excited, given they’re willing to praise prospects that don’t exists. Matt Lindner of Redeye Chicago found this out when he took to the streets.

Moral of the story – you don’t need to know who someone is to be excited about them, even if those players don’t exist. I think this also helps speak to how strong the team mentality is with sports – just slap that logo on whatever you want, and that’s your guy.
