Luis Suarez and Uruguay defeated England 2-1 yesterday in Group D at the World Cup.  Suarez scored both goals on his return to the side from injury and it must have been so sweet for him to be the difference maker against a nation that has seen him experience much joy and much turmoil.

The relationship between Suarez and the English press has been, well, complicated over the years.  Surprisingly, the British tabloids showed quite a lot of restraint when it came to Suarez with some focusing on the quadrennial disappointment of English fans.

At least the Mirror came through though with a headline that alluded to Suarez’s controversial past…

Now we get to see just how much of a bite Suarez and company will take out of Costa Rica to see if they can advance to the knockout round.  It’s too easy, I know…
