During tonight’s NBA Draft, Bill Simmons proved that you really can’t take the fan out of the analyst, no matter how much you get paid by a national sports network. After Simmons’ beloved Boston Celtics drafted Kentucky’s James Young 17th overall, the camera caught Simmons giving a little fist pump before realizing that’s not exactly fitting for a national analyst.
I don’t think this is a huge deal – Simmons has never tried to hide his biases towards Boston sports. Hell, he made a career as the Boston Sports Guy. But maybe he should try to be a little more discreet about it in the future.
