Another Selection Sunday has come and gone. We hope your team made it in with the seed they deserved for a change. If your team is on the wrong side of the bubble, we hope you have another team to latch on to through April for your bracket pool. If you want to root for the team that is going to win it all, start ordering that Spartan gear now, because every single ESPN expert picked No.4 seeded Michigan State to win the National Championship Sunday night.

That’s right: Jay Bilas, Seth Greenberg, Digger Phelps, Jay Williams, and even DUKIE V all picked Michigan State.

First of all – where is the loyalty, Dick?

Second of all – I’m confused. What is it about this MSU team, a team that lost to Illinois and Georgetown, that is so unbeatable all of a sudden?

Third of all – Florida? Arizona? Anyone? Wichita State? Kansas? Bueller?

It’s not that a 4-seed can’t win it all, it’s just that it seems a little odd that all five of these guys picked the same team to cut down the nets. On the bright side, at least you can’t accuse ESPN of trying to create a fake debate with their championship picks this year. That’s pretty much impossible when everyone makes the same pick.

We call it March Madness for a reason, though, and I’m excited for the upsets to happen – whether one of those happens to be Delaware over the Spartans and all these championship picks turn out to be a jinx remains to be seen.
