This is either the best or worst local news segment of the year, but I'm in a good mood this morning so I'll lean towards the former.  Internet feline celebrity Grumpy Cat made a visit to the WPIX studio in New York ahead of being honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award at something called the Friskies Internet Cat Video Awards.  Yes, it is a real thing with an actual trophy for a cat that stars in YouTube videos.  Yes, it is also a sign of the end of the world as we know it.  While you're waiting for the impending zombie apocalypse, get your Grumpy Cat mugs, t-shirts, magnets and more!

Playing up to the absurdity of interviewing a cat who can't smile is WPIX anchor and WWE announcer Scott Stanford, who tries to make Grumpy Cat laugh with a series of horribly painful cat jokes… and then laughing at them himself.

True to form, Grumpy Cat was not amused.  Stanford's complete overselling of the Grumpy Cat interview was something that would make Shawn Michaels proud.
