On SportsCenter this morning, the ESPN talking heads were going to begin a discussion about the league potentially revisiting the Rooney Rule, in which minority candidates must be interviewed for any NFL head coaching or senior executive position that opens up. This winter, none of the eight head coaching vacancies or seven general manager vacancies in the league were filled by a minority candidate, leading to discussion about potentially reworking the rule to include offensive and defensive coordinator positions and requiring teams to interview minority candidates outside of the organization.

Unfortunately, someone at ESPN had a bit of a brainfart when putting the topic on the side of the screen, and called it the "Romney Rule". So does that mean a Mormon must be interviewed for every vacant position? Will teams be required to have binders full of qualified minority candidates? The possibilities are endless!
