We've featured Dick Stockton numerous times on this site, even naming the NFL version of the Pammies after the longtime announcer. There's no questioning Stockton's great career in broadcasting, but it's still a little puzzling to think multiple networks are still employing him to broadcast postseason games in 2013. It's like the audio version of seeing Willie Mays with the Mets. During last night's Pirates-Cardinals Game 5, a deciding game in the series, many fans were vocal on Twitter wondering if Stockton was watching the same game. As always, these are Real Tweets from Real People…
I'm just glad I don't have to hear Dick Stockton pronounce "Tabata" for another year. Or get the winning team wrong.

Dick Stockton just identified right fielder Carlos Beltrán as Matt Holliday, never corrected himself. Keep on keepin' on, Stocky.

With Pat Summeral gone, I'm glad to see Dick Stockton has taken over the "awkward read of a tv show promo" mantle.

I'm almost as happy about not having to listen to Dick Stockton anymore as I am about another NLCS. #stlcards

Is Dick Stockton even at this game? He seems lost.

Dick Stockton is trending on Twitter. Does he know what that means?

Honest question. Does Dick Stockton's seat face the field?

Given all the tweets I'm seeing about Dick Stockton, perhaps the Taiwan feed was a good call.
