On Thursday, it was reported that Howie Long would be getting his first Sunday off in 20 years, and wouldn't be on Fox NFL Sunday this week because of his sons Chris and Kyle facing off in St Louis.

At the time, we didn't know who'd be replacing Long alongside the Fox Sunday crew. But we do now – it will be Fox Sports 1 standout Randy Moss.

Moss has been a revelation since debuting on Fox Football Daily three months ago. Early returns on Moss were favorable, with Ed Sherman calling him "the early favorite for rookie of the year on the NFL analyst front". Richard Deitsch said Moss was "bright", and had an "engaging manner of speech". But Moss has come into his own as he's grown more accustomed to his new role, The bluntness if Moss' "straight talk homey" segment is refreshing (and hilarious) in a world filled with meaningless cliches.

Moss has flown under the radar  during his time with Fox so far, mainly due to his near-exclusive role on Fox Sports 1. But his performance has been excellent so far, and will be exposed to a larger audience this Sunday.
