The tributes to Pat Summerall since his passing yesterday afternoon have been pouring out of every corner of the sports world.  It's a tribute to his career that his voice and the way he presented a game had an impact on so many.  While words of praise have come from bloggers, sportswriters, analysts, and fans, those who followed Summerall into the broadcast have also paid their respects.  Al MIchaels appeared on Dan Patrick's show this morning to talk about Summerall's career and Joe Buck tweeted this message about the lead announcer he followed at Fox:

NFL Films also put together a short yet stirring tribute to Summerall's career as an announcer and a player.  From his most memorable moment as a placekicker for the Giants to his two memorable partnerships with Tom Brookshier and John Madden, the NFL Films vignette covers Summerall's 50 year career in football.  Hopefully NFL Network will dedicate a longer show to Summerall as their "A Football Life" series would be a fitting way to remember his legacy.
