The NHL is back, and NBC is putting the full court press with advertisements for this weekend's slate of games on NBC and NBC Sports Network, including the above promo for the Penguins-Flyers game that will air regionally on NBC.

In the voiceover, there is a mention made of Claude Giroux and the Flyers having their sights set on revenge for last season's playoff loss to Pitt. That's all fine and dandy… except for the fact that the Flyers beat the Penguins in six games in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals last spring. Maybe NBC was mistaking "last year" for 2009, when the Penguins eliminated the Flyers in the first round of the playoffs. Of course, that was four years ago, a season in which the aforementioned Giroux played just 42 games for the Flyers.

Hockey might be back and getting some great TV windows on NBC, but it looks like everyone involved may be a little rusty.
