Mark Grace sentenced to four months in jail

Former Arizona Diamondbacks color commentator and Chicago Cubs first baseman Mark Grace has been sentenced to four months in jail following his second DUI arrest in a year. Grace took a leave of absence from the Diamondbacks in August following his arrest, and the team officially dismissed him and play by play man Daron Sutton after the season.

Grace's sentence also includes two years of probation. After dismissing Grace and Sutton following the season, the Diamondbacks reached out to various announcers to fill their open positions, eventually hiring former Cubs color commentator Bob Brenly and former ESPN Baseball Tonight studio host Steve Berthiaume.

It's a bit of a sad, yet thoroughly unsurprising and completely deserved end to Grace's sage over the last few months. Hopefully, his time in jail will enable him to get his life in order.
