The all-time leader in nearly every single NFL receiving category no longer works for the self-proclaimed worldwide leader in sports.

Former 49ers WR Jerry Rice has parted ways with ESPN, ending a 2 year stint as an NFL analyst.  An ESPN spokesperson confirmed Rice's departure, saying it was a "mutual decision."  Rice had worked locally in the Bay Area before joining ESPN as an NFL analyst in August 2011, doing work in both the Los Angeles and Bristol studios.

In fairness though, there are so many NFL analysts working at ESPN you may not have even seen Rice working for the network over that time.  Of course, the revolving door of NFL analysts at ESPN never stops moving, and Rice's shoes have already been filled by the likes of Mark Brunell and Jerome Bettis.

As far as a possible next stop for Rice, NFL Network has been a rumored destination to continue his television career.  However, according to an NFLN spokesperson that is not the case at this time.
