On Wednesday night, Georgetown beat Connecticut 79-78 in double overtime. It was a thrilling game that saw the Hoyas blow a five point lead with 11 seconds left, and then come back to win after being down by seven in the second overtime.

Georgetown play by play announcer Rich Chvotkin's call of the final seconds was… a little over the top. After Ryan Boatright missed a three to end the game, Chvotkin shouted "Hoyas win!" ten times before thanking Hoyas leading scorer Otto Porter Jr, who scored the game-winning basket with nine second left.

While this is a little over the top, I'd much rather listen to an exuberant announcer like Chvotkin than a morose announcer calling an exciting win like he's at a funeral (think Joe Buck at his worst).
