Fox Sports 1 enjoys best week since August launch

Fox Sports 1 (FS1) has gotten off to a fairly shaky start since its launch back in August. The network has had its bright spots, but growth has been slow and it's been difficult to steal viewers away from the giant that is ESPN. Things over at FS1 are showing signs of improvement thanks to some big live sporting events.

FS1 posted its most-watched week ever between November 4th and November 10th thanks to their coverage of Oklahoma vs. Baylor and major UFC and NASCAR events.

Oklahoma vs. Baylor is FS1's most-watched telecast ever. The game brought in 2.1 million viewers, breaking the channel's previous record of 1.8 million for UFC Fight Night back in August. UFC proved to still be a big commodity for the channel, bringing in 641,000 viewers on 11/6 and 722,000 on 11/9. NASACAR brought in 602,000 viewers for its Camping World Truck Series.

As we've discussed here numerous times, live events boost ratings. FS1 posted some nice numbers thanks to their live sporting events, but it'll take time for viewers to stick around on the channel once coverage of their game/race/fight has ended.
