Fox will be airing a 90 minute documentary about now-retired Yankees legend Mariano Rivera. Being: Mariano will premiere at 4:30 PM on Fox on October 20th, and will re-air on October 22nd on Fox Sports 1 at 9:30 PM.

The documentary has been in production since Spring Training, and producers received exclusive access to unique moments throughout Rivera's season. Some of these sound incredible, including a fishing trip in August with Andy Pettitte, a lunch with David Ortiz, a meeting at Yankee Stadium's Old Timers Day with Whitey Ford and Yogi Berra, Rivera meeting with team employees at each ballpark on his farewell tour, and an all-day look at Rivera on Mariano Rivera Day at Yankee Stadium.

This is the third Being documentary that Fox Sports 1 has done, following in the footsteps of The Finest and the ongoing Mike Tyson series. Their documentary series debuted with Being: Liverpool on Fox Soccer Channel. If this is anything like those two documentaries, it will be fantastic. More incredible sports documentaries is not a bad thing at all, and we're in the golden age of them right now.
