Washington Redskins QB Robert Griffin III has several months of rehabilitation ahead of him after successful knee surgery on his torn ACL and LCL.  Griffin seriously injured his knee playing hurt in Washington's Wild Card playoff loss to the Seattle Seahawks.  It's too early to know whether or not Griffin will be ready to return for the start of the 2013 season with an 8 to 12 month recovery period.

While Griffin is working to get back to full health, a DC radio station took a brief, yet extraordinary step in showing support for one of the most popular players in pro sports.  WPGC 95.5 became WRG3 over the weekend as a show of solidarity for the injured quarterback.

It's the first time the station changed its call letters since launching all the way back in 1958.  The station also encouraged listeners to tweet get well messages to Griffin with the hashtag #GetWellRG3.  No word on what the station has done, if anything, to support Mike Shanahan in this difficult time.
