Once again, the NBA has lucked out with a battle of good versus evil in the NBA Finals.  In one corner, the young, dynamic Oklahoma City Thunder.  In the other corner, the personification of evil, LeBron James and the Miami Heat.  Maybe the battle to decide this year’s NBA Champion isn’t that dramatic or life-altering, but you can bet ESPN will continue to promote these Finals in that vain.

To guide us through the Finals on TV, we’ll be led by the professional and entertaining crew of Mike Breen, Jeff Van Gundy and Doris Burke.  Credit to the NBA for avoiding bad TV nights like Friday and Saturday, sticking to a Tuesday/Thursday/Sunday schedule.

Can these Finals live up to the hype as neutral fans and ESPN execs are hoping?  Will LeBron and Durant go head-to-head to begin a true rivalry in the tradition of Wilt and Russell and Bird and Magic? The questions will begin to be answered tonight.
