Video: David Feherty introduces “wiener length” into golfing lexicon

David Feherty certainly has a way with words most announcers can only dream of… but I'm willing to bet even he was surprised with how he described this putt at the John Deere Classic this weekend.  The Deere isn't exactly one of the glamour events on the PGA calendar and with a few of the CBS regulars on vacation, Feherty moved into the booth from his normal on-course reporter's role.  So, golf's resident humorist spiced up the commentary with something he probably couldn't get away with at Augusta, describing a Chris DiMarco putt as "just a wiener length short."

*Resists urge to make Greg Oden or Brett Favre joke.*

Yea, that probably hasn't been uttered on a golf telecast before, but if Jim Nantz uses this phrase at the PGA Championship next month, it may have a future in the game.  We can only hope.
