Shaquille O'Neal's media career hasn't quite produced the headlines and buzz we all anticipated when he joined Inside the NBA last year. However, he is keeping busy away from the television. The New York Post reports the former Big Aristotle, former Big Shaqtus, former Shaq Fu is now launching his own ilne of vodka. At least this venture has to be better than Kazaam, right?
"Shaquille O’Neal is launching his own line of vodka — sensationally titled “Luv Shaq.” The former NBA star plans to launch the brand early next year, and for all those barroom athletes, it is sugar- and gluten-free. We’re told Luv Shaq comes in coconut flavor, and the bottle features an image of O’Neal with giant wings."
I can't think of a better way for Shaq's vodka to fly off the shelves than a picture of himself with giant wings. But thank goodness it's sugar and gluten-free. If Shaq is going to launch a line of vodka, it better be health-conscious. It makes sense too. This is the perfect alcohol complement to Charles Barkley's work with Weight Watchers. Just imagine the cross-promotion capabilities.
