Sad news from the basketball world as longtime voice of the NBA on ESPN Radio, Jim Durham, passed away this weekend at the young age of 65.  Durham had been the lead voice of ESPN Radio's NBA coverage since it began in 1996 and also served as an announcer for the Dallas Mavericks and Chicago Bulls amongst others.  He was honored in 2011 by the Basketball Hall of Fame with the Curt Gowdy Media Award for his broadcasting excellence and just recently called this year's season opener between Boston and Miami.

I always enjoyed Durham's calls, especially with partner Dr. Jack Ramsay, and he'll definitely be missed.  Below are two of Durham's most notable calls.  First is Michael Jordan's game winning shot over Craig Ehlo in the 1989 playoffs (second voice after Dick Stockton in the video clip).  Second is Durham's call of the Bulls 1998 Game 6 win over the Utah Jazz.
