If DeAngelo Hall wasn't already the most worthless starter in the NFL, maybe his latest off-field incident will change that. The cornerback who has given up more receptions than all but four other defensive backs in the NFL despite his $9 million salary reportedly got into a verbal altercation with Washington Post beat writer Mike Jones earlier this week.

Apparently this came as a result of a story Jones wrote in which Hall feels he was misquoted by Jones, but it's extremely hard to give the controversial veteran the benefit of the doubt. Less than a week ago, when asked to comment on the fine he received for verbally assaulting an official during a game in October, Hall told reporters to, "Back up off me, bro."

We aren't complaining, because Hall's career has given plenty of material over the years, but dudes like him are so hard for sports fans to tolerate. Fortunately, Redskins fans won't likely have to deal with the 29-year-old — how the hell is he still only 29? — much longer, because ESPN 980's Chris Russell reports that Hall isn't due any guaranteed money beyond this season.

Good riddance.
