Surely you’ve all seen this clip a few hundred times by now, but you may not have heard the call from the Canuck’s broadcasting team. The homers seem pretty confident that this altercation is the fan’s fault, despite the fact that the only thing he does is clap his hands in appreciation for the penalties levied on Rick Rypien. Not an unexpected action by someone who “paid your tickets (sic) to watch the game,” and it doesn’t look to me like he ever wanted to “be part of it.” I’m not so sure that Rypien needs security to protect him from this hand clapping maniac either.
What fine/suspension do you think is appropriate?
