The Bears and Packers meet in a Monday Night Football matchup this evening from Soldier Field, televised on ESPN. The network is providing reports throughout the day from the stadium in preparation for the game, which should be a great one with Bears-Packers being the league’s most historic rivalry, and with these NFC North teams each entering the game with a 2-0 record on the season.

Earlier on Sportscenter, ESPN showed a video of Bears star defensive end Julius Peppers entering the stadium. Here’s a photo of it (thanks to @josephacampbell on Twitter):

Small problem there- none of those players are Julius Peppers. (Note: A video would make this much easier to tell, but just believe me on this if you can’t clearly tell from the picture yourself; it’s all we have to work with. Please e-mail us if you can provide a video or clearer photo evidence.)

The player they’re showing in the center is left tackle Chris Williams, the 14th overall selection in the 2008 NFL Draft, and his fellow offensive linemen Roberto Garza(left) and Frank Omiyale(right) are beside him.Williams is near being considered quite a bust already, whereas Julius Peppers is actually, you know, really good at football. So consider this quite the insult to Peppers, a five-time Pro Bowl selection.

It could be very confusing tonight for ESPN when “Julius Peppers” is standing on the sidelines in street clothes all game(Chris Williams is inactive with a hamstring injury), while the actual Julius Peppers is dominating on the field.
