On Thursday’s episode of “The League,” (The White Knuckler), the scrappy cast may have put subtle racist announcers officially on notice:

Obviously, most, if not all, announcers are not really using code words to hide their inherent racism. If you think about it, though, that doesn’t mean there’s not some truth in their choice of adjectives. Have you EVER heard of a “scrappy” African-American athlete? It’s usually the Chase Utleys, Wes Welkers, David Ecksteins of the world. All white. Is it racist? Most likely not.

Now, if an African-American walks up behind you at a local KFC, and you nudge your friend and say, “psh, typical ‘class act'”? That’s racist.
