There are few things that I don’t like to talk about, but I think it’s safe to say that John Madden and toilets is one of those topics. However, this story from Watchdog is too funny too not share. During an NBC conference call, reporters were asking Madden what he liked most about Texas Stadium, and this was his response….

MADDEN ON TEXAS STADIUM: “The first impressions were of course the Tom Landry years. Tom was so dominant that you would think of the Dallas Cowboys, and you’d think of Tom Landry. That’s what I think of going in to that stadium, the hole in the roof, the Tom Landry coached teams, and the discipline he brought. I know it has to come down and time has to march on and all that stuff, but that’s one place that I have great memories of games and people, starting with Tom Landry and being there every other Thanksgiving. It was just a fun deal.”

“The booth was the best in the business. I didn’t know a lot about all the booths in the NFL, but I found out quickly that that was the best because it was not only the biggest but it was the only one that had a bathroom in it, and if you don’t think that’s big, that is big.”

Well then. I mean big restrooms are always a plus, and when you’re a plus-sized person like Madden, I imagine they’re welcomed even more. The good news for Madden though is that the Cowboys have been auctioning off toilet seats, so there’s a chance he can take it with him after Sunday night’s game.
