I obviously didn’t have video capabilities over the past weekend, so I would have had this sooner. Before the 4th quarter of the Bolts-Colts game on Sunday the NFL had it’s winners of the Punt, Pass, Kick Competition on field to be honored. Each age group had a winner and the 14-year old winner just happened to be from Stratham, NH and wearing a Pats jersey.

She got booed unmercifully by Colts fans. So much so that Patriots’ Owner Robert Kraft feels the need to stick up for her…..

Fourteen-year-old Anny Grant was the Patriots’ representative in the annual Punt, Pass and Kick competition. And when she was introduced along with the other winners before the fourth quarter of San Diego’s playoff win over the Colts, she was the only one booed by the crowd.
Patriots owner Robert Kraft says she’ll be honored on the field this week before the AFC championship game against the Chargers.

Grant also returned from school today and heard a phone message from Andre Tippett, the Patriots’ executive director of community affairs and a former star linebacker. She called back and was ecstatic when Tippett extended the invitation to the game – plus tickets for her, her parents and two brothers. She says she knows the boos in Indianapolis weren’t directed at her personally … but rather at the New England jersey she was wearing.

That sounds like fun. Now she gets to go to the game and have Philip Rivers yell at her.
