So I’m not going to be able to do the NBA game today, and I apologize. I’ll be here for the NFC Championship, so I’ll see you then. In the meantime here is your game preview and a quote from Rick Majerus yesterday to get you by.

“Watch Kansas they look like Buddy Holly in an ice storm”- Majerus after Texas Tech grabbed an offensive rebound and Kansas just stood around looking lost.

So it comes down to this for the team that will ultimately lose to the AFC in the SuperBowl (or that’s what the media wants us to believe).

New Orleans has never made a title game, and Sean Payton looks to take a city known for hosting SuperBowls to the big game. It boils down to Brees and the Saints offense in this one, and Payton will most likely will spread the field and force the Bears into Nickel and Dime coverages.

The Bears have relied on a stellar defense all year, and have really lucked out in some situations. If a couple of plays/games don’t go their way and this game might be in the Superdome. Luck is one of the key components during a championship run though, and if Rex Grossman is your QB it becomes even a bigger factor. Rex will have to be on his game in this one…..no more excuses or mistakes.

With all of that said……the biggest factor could be the weather. It’s 31 and snowing in Chicago and Bears Fans live for this kind of thing. The spread is the Bears at -2.5, and I have no idea which way this is going to go. Leave your thoughts and predictions in the comments, and I’ll see you at around 3pm.
