There’s obviously a huge backlash coming in the wake of the Mitchell Report being released and there are a few members of the media that have some explaining to do. Most notably David Justice (YES) and Fernando Vina (ESPN). ESPN chose to keep Fernando under wraps yesterday, but Justice was on the YES Network to explain that he never took HGH or any drug….

So Justice addressed the issue with a pretty steadfast denial, but where is Vina? Just like the Golic Steroids issue a few weeks back we have another instance where ESPN isn’t tapping into one of its own resources on a particular issue.
As far as Justice, I think he falls under the category of not really knowing what the drug was. I think you’ll find that a good number of older players named will be taking this stance of ignorance in the coming days. And to honest….it could be pretty valid.
