I guess the whole hang up was the amount of hours because according to The Big Lead it was a two-hour program instead of the originally offered three, that got Tirico to the table. He begins on Thursday, September 20th at 1pm, and will go to 3pm.

“With Monday Night Football, the NBA Finals and now a daily radio platform, Mike Tirico has arrived at the pinnacle of sports broadcasting with premier assignments in television and radio,” said Norby WIlliamson, executive vice president, studio and remote production.

Added Traug Keller, senior vice president, production, business divisions: “Having a daily radio show hosted by Mike Tirico will cement our position as the sports listen of record in mid-day talk radio. And, Stephen A. Smith’s strong voice will be a welcome addition for our national radio audience.”

So that solves it…..wait a tic…..there’s an hour missing there. If Tirico takes up only two of the three hour spot….Uh oh……
