TCU (10-2) v. Northern Illinois (7-5)

Date/Time: Dec. 19, 8 p.m. ET
Site: Qualcomm Stadium, San Diego
Network: ESPN2

Weather: Clear, Low of 42 Degrees

Past Results (1): Navy 51 Colorado State 30

Player(s) to Watch: NIU Senior Running Back #1- Garret Wolfe
Wolfe leads the Nation in rushing with 1900 Yards

TCU’s Defense
Ranked #4 in the Nation against the run (67.6 ypg), but has only faced one running back who has over 1,000 yards this season (Rodney Ferguson- New Mexico)

Deciding Factor(s): Only 1……What can the nation’s leading rusher do against on of the nation’s best run defenses. Turnovers should play a huge role (like they always do) as both teams have mediocre Quarterbacks.

Spread: TCU -12, O/U 47

AA’s Pick and Analysis: I’m going with the Horned Frogs in this one. They’ve played better competition and have been playing better as of late. Garrett Wolfe is amazing, but he’s been rundown as of late, and has yet to equal his performances in the beginning of the year. With that said I think the over is a great bet. I don’t bet anymore, but if I did this would be a 3-Star play for those in the know.

Prediction 34-20.

Good luck to all. Thanks for playing the game and stop by for analysis of the game and announcing.
______________

Blogger has been running a tad slow tonight, so we’re behind on the Live(ish) Blog. Admitedly we’ve been watching the Duke/Kent State basketball game a little bit as well.

As far as the contest we’ve got about 30 entrants. Great response everyone. I’ll post all the folks tomorrow. Thanks for the interest and good luck!

End of the 1st quarter……TCU 6- NIU 0

Make that 13-0 TCU.

By the way….your announcers for tonight:

Rece Davis, Mark May, and Lou Holtz

……and NCAA leading rusher Garrett Wolfe has -6 Yards Rushing.

For as old as Lou Holtz is, and how hard it is to understand him, he actually makes some great points during a broadcast.

30-0 TCU……we’re looking at a blowout here folks.

37-7 Final….TCU. Hope you were on the right side of that one. Next game: Thursday, December 21st. The Las Vegas Bowl…..BYU v. Oregon
